I have just come in from the garden where I have been sitting in the sunshine, reading my book. This is one of my absolute favourite things to do. When I sit with the sun’s warmth on my face, lost in a story, the birds singing in the trees around me, I am completely in my comfort zone. I’m in my Green Zone.
I imagine that you have a Green Zone too. It might be similar to mine, or it might be something totally different. Over the years I have learnt from my clients (I am a Cognitive Hypnotherapist specialising in working with people who are experiencing Anxiety) that Green Zones can be places, people, activities and other things too. For some people it might be baking, for others it’s cycling or boxing or listening to their favourite piece of music. The Green Zone is the place where we feel in flow, safe, present.
Sometimes life can feel filled by this Green Zone. Other times it can feel very small and encroached upon by our Amber Zone or maybe even our Red Zone. Our first job is to begi…
